Travel will be required across multiple sites in the Hunter regionEmployment:  Permanent Full Time, 38 hours per weekRenumeration: $63,623 per annum FTE + super + salary packagingWe have an exciting opportunity to work as a WorkReady Consultant on a full-time basis in Maitland. As a WorkReady Consultant you will assist people with a disability to build their capacity and work towards achieving their employment aspirations, such as gaining employment that best suit their skills and interests or undertaking further education. This service focuses on utilising our strong networks and community links to create and develop vocational goals, life skills and source real-life work experience opportunities.As WorkReady service is guided by participants and their individual goals, you will work with participants to develop a personalised plan for each participant that is most beneficial and rewarding for them.A typical day as a WorkReady Consultant may include:Developing a person-centred plan with each participantIdentifying employment and education goalsCoordinating work experience placementsFacilitating individual and group-based training sessionsCoordinating and attending social events and excursionsProactively engaging with employers to secure opportunities for participants This role requires travelling between sites from time to time to support the WorkReady team across NSW.  About You:To be successful as a WorkReady Consultant, prior experience in Employment Services, NDIS, education or youth work is highly desirable (but not essential). If you have demonstrated experience in providing great customer service, meeting and exceeding KPIs and outcomes, and like working with people, then we would like to hear from you.Success in this role will also come from your natural ability to engage with a wide variety of external employers and providers to market your services to secure education and work opportunities for the participants you’re working with.Essential criteria:Understanding of person-centred approachDrivers licence (minimum P2)Evidence of Covid-19 Vaccination Evidence (minimum 2 doses)Ability to undergo satisfactory background checks including NDIS Workers Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)Knowledge of and commitment to child safe standards and mandatory reporting requirements.Strong administrative skill setComprehensive Car Insurance and Motor Vehicle RegistrationNDIS knowledge is desirable We are wanting to hear from candidates who enjoy providing a positive customer and client experience, thrive in a target based environment, are motivated by exceeding their professional and personal goals and are looking for a career - not just a job.
