You will use your expert knowledge and experience to provide best practice therapy to support the person to reach their goals. You will be supporting vocational and holistic goals as a psychologist receiving referrals from employment consultants and providing psychological support for behaviour, mental health & well-being focused towards supporting people to return back to work. A key part of the role will be working within the disability employment sector and supporting individuals with vocational counselling. You may also be providing one on one counselling to individuals with a disability who have funding for psychological supports under the NDIS.Essential Criteria: Registration with appropriate registering body (general or provisional registration) e.g. AHPRA, ACA, PACFAKnowledge of disability services.Knowledge of Keep Them Safe guidelines and mandatory reporting requirements.Knowledge of the Disability Inclusion Act 2014, National Disability Insurance Scheme and current reform in the disability sector.A current NSW driver’s licence.Evidence of Covid-19 Vaccination including booster Desirable Criteria: Knowledge of the disability employment sector, including experience delivering vocational counselling and supporting individuals in returning to work.Knowledge of psychological testing, including IQ assessments and vocational assessments. Knowledge of disability support for participants with the NDIS including psychological intervention and supports for persons with an intellectual/psychological/physical disability. Why work for Ability Options?
