As a Support Worker you are keen to ensure people feel listened to, valued and that they are capable of achieving amazing things. You like to celebrate the small achievements and the big life changing moments, and you know that this looks different for everyone. You will be able to assist our people with personal care, transportation and being out in the community through direct support and day programs. Do you feel you are a best fit for this role? If so, we can’t wait to meet you as we are seeking Support Workers to join the team in a casual capacity. Essential Requirements of the role:Ability and willingness to provide personal care and support activities of daily living in a residential settingHigh level of resilience and emotional intelligenceStrong communication skills and demonstrated flexibility in methods of alternative and augmentative communication, particularly being able to use active listening skillsUndergo a satisfactory background check including NDIS Workers Check and/or Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)Hold a current driver's licence (minimum P2)Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR (HLTAID011) Have personal mobile device that meets our system requirements (i.e. for Apple: iPhone 7 or later; for Android: devices released in the last three years)Certificate III in Disability Services (desirable)Comprehensive Car Insurance Right to work in AustraliaThis role requires travelling between sites to support participants.  Culture and BenefitsAbility Options is a value driven organisation where the people we support are at the centre of everything we do.
