The Role

Base Location: Coffs Harbour (Travel required between Grafton and Kempsey)

Employment: Permanent Full-time, 38 hours per week

Remuneration: $76,000 per annum + Super + Salary Packaging

There is currently a great opportunity to work as an Occupational Therapist, to help begin or further your career with Ability Options. This position is permanent full-time and is open to new graduates and experienced Occupational Therapists.

You will be well supported by a great multidisciplinary team, have access to regular supervision and be able to further your knowledge and skills through a generous Professional Development budget.

Your role will be diverse and involve conducting clinical assessments and developing individually tailored therapy plans, executing appropriate Occupational Therapy treatment, for both adults and paediatrics. This role also has an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver training packages within our organisation and to outside agencies.  

Essential Criteria:

• Relevant tertiary education in Occupational Therapy and current full registration with AHPRA.
• Previous professional or work placement experience completing Occupational Therapy specific assessments and therapy supports to a range of individuals. 
• Commitment to people and providing quality services.
• Minimum P2 drivers licence and a vehicle that is comprehensively insured.
• Ability to undergo satisfactory background checks including NDIS Workers Check and/or Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Highly organised, and able to work with technology in a changing environment.
• Understanding of inclusion, cultural sensitivities and the needs of diverse communities

Desirable experience:

• Working with billable targets.
• A solid understanding of the NDIS framework.
• Knowledge of the Disability Service Standards.
• Working with individuals with sensory processing needs.
• Professional experience or demonstrated commitment to working with children and young people.
• Paediatric experience.
• Experience working with those with complex support needs.
