We respect and value the contribution of people from all cultures, backgrounds and beliefs, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander people and people with disability. The Role                                                                                              We are currently looking for a talented and ambitious team member to join our inclusive Marketing team in the role as a Communications and Media Coordinator on full-time basis.The focus of your energy will be to drive the positive promotion of Ability Options to diverse audiences and the wider community through the use of digital and traditional media channelsThis role will suit a person with a strong understanding and some experience across media platforms including radio, print, social media content, employee and customer communications.Success in this role will come from your natural ability to:Work cooperatively and collaboratively with others to get things done and meet deadlines.Build strong and sustainable relationships with people to succeed in your role.Work autonomously, multi skill and juggle competing demands of busy marketing environments whilst being organised, staying calm and having fun!Use your solid communication skills to source and write or film, fresh and interesting material to be communicated across multiple mediums.Be self- motivated, curious to learn new things and pride yourself in delivering quality results.We believe your experience in the following areas will also help you get there:Demonstrated experience in a communication, marketing or media/PR role or internship;Source, write and prepare stories, scripts, video content, ads, case studies and content for websites, intranet and social media channels.Produce and distribute media releases and pitch story ideas to media outlets.Report on all media mentions and source copies of articles and clips for publication on the relevant websites.Source fresh and interesting material for social media, keeping abreast of topical issues and Ability Options own contentSound Experience in photography and videography and associated editing toolsSound knowledge of CMS and eDM publishing tools including, Wordpress, Campaign Monitor, as well as social media platforms; Facebook, LinkedIN and InstagramAn understanding or interest in learning Easy English writing practice will be favourable.Other essential requirements of the role:Ability to undergo a successful police checkValid Working With Children CheckValid NSW Driver Licence (minimum P2)Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism or public/media relations;Why Work for Us?When you join Ability Options you will experience a vibrant, values driven organisation where the people we support are at the centre of everything we do.In return for your skills and experience you will receive:A rewarding career where you contribute to make a difference in the community and in people’s livesCompetitive remuneration package Flexible work arrangements incl.
