An opportunity has arisen for disability workers within our Community Services division on a Casual basis. Disability Support Workers have the privilege of working alongside people every day to ensure they are living a full and active life both in the community and in their home. As a Support Worker you are keen to ensure people feel listened to, valued and that they are capable of achieving amazing things. You like to celebrate the small achievements and the big life changing moments, and you know that this looks different for everyone. You see contribution as important, and the conversation about human rights is always on the table. We know you’ll enjoy learning from us, and we’ll learn a lot from you to. You will be able to assist our people with personal care, transportation and being out in the community.
We are currently looking for a number of support workers to join our team that are reliable and flexible as we have work available across weekends, evenings and school holidays. You will be primarily working in our activity programs, meaning you will need to have your own vehicle and licence to access them.
- Demonstrated experience in working with people with complex, high support needs
- Willingness to assist with personal care
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current NSW drivers licence (P2 or above)
- Paid Working With Children Check clearance
- Intermediate computer and digital technology skills
- Previous work or placement experience (advantageous but not essential)
- Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support (desirable but not essential)
