We are looking for a number of Full-time, Part-time and Casual staff to join the nursing team.Who Are We?Hunter Valley Disability Services (HVDS) is a not for profit consortium group which offers flexible and adaptable disability supports for individuals for people with disability and carers in the Hunter and Newcastle area The RoleWe are currently looking for energetic and experienced Registered Nurses to join our specialist supported accommodation services across the Newcastle & Lake Macquarie region.Your role will be to coordinate and deliver quality nursing and support services which promotes the improvement in quality of life and fosters independence for people with disability who have a range of functional abilities and complex needs.You will need to demonstrate initiative, set priorities, work collaboratively and achieve individual and team goals and targets;You will build working relationships with specialist medical services, local community partnerships (including families and carers) and with other stakeholders both within and external to HV Disability Services (a member of the Ability Options community).Essential Criteria:Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experienceA current Registered Nurse (RN) registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Proven experience working with those with complex support needsCommitment to people and providing quality servicesKnowledge of the Disability Service StandardsWorking with Children Check (for paid employment)Please submit your resume with a covering letter which details your suitability for this diverse and exciting opportunity.
