We respect and value the contribution of people from all cultures, backgrounds and beliefs, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander people and people with disability. The Role The Chief Audit Officer provides leadership and is accountable for delivering governance support, compliance and assurance activities in Quality, Audit, Risk and Compliance within the organisation. Reporting to the CEO, the CAO is   a member of the Executive Leadership Committee and manages the Quality, Audit and risk team.  Working within our Governance and Assurance Framework, the Chief Audit Officer is responsible for ensuring that a culture of safety, high standards of service, governance and behaviour are in place including by:Providing leadership and support to Directors, Executives, Managers and Employees to ensure a contemporary, consistent, evidenced and sustained culture of probity, control, assurance, openness, learning and improvement;Leading policy development and implementation in areas of Quality, Audit, Risk and Compliance  to ensure that our business  aligns  with best practice in the sector;Ensuring organisational compliance with appropriate accreditations, legislation and reporting obligations;Ensuring statutory compliance, governance and probity activities are in placeAbout YouThe successful candidate will demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experience in the area of Quality, Audit, Risk, Compliance and Governance in a senior leadership role with a medium to large organisation, ideally within Disability and/or Employment Services.
